1958 Corvette

In 1987, I fell in love with the old style Corvettes while watching a movie call "Less than Zero". One of the main characters of the movie drove a red with white cove 1959 Corvette that I just fell in love with. So, 23 years later (in 2008), I purchased my first Corvette - a 1958 that is pictured below. Being the 4th owner, this beautiful Corvette has a been restored with meticulous effort from top to bottom. It was completely stripped of all previous paint jobs and restorations over three years (2009-2012). It has a new driver's side view mirror, new steering wheel (to fit up 6'2" tall driver), excellent black interior, and new chrome fins on both sides plus front & rear Corvette medallions. The chrome trunk suspenders are in excellent shape and are original. I have the original steering wheel and center cap (pitted) along with an extra chrome master cylinder that needs to be rebuilt.
The engine was replaced in 1988 with a 283 V-8 4 Barrel Edelbrock carbed engine. It runs great and will get up and go. Over the last 12 months, new spark plugs, filters, Edelbrock racing carb, gas lines, new soft convertible top, water-pump, and brake chambers were installed. The white wall tires are in great shape with 95% tread. Has original hubcaps and chrome, and more. The only real pressing thing that needs to be addressed is the clutch. Still engages 100% but doesn't engage until the very top with no adjustment left. It does not slip. Car starts, runs, and drives like a 1958 Corvette!
An absolute beautiful 1958 Corvette from top to bottom.
